The Running Event (TRE), North America’s premier specialty retail conference and trade show, recently announced new Switchback at TRE initiatives, including a partnership with The Conservation Alliance. Launched this year, Switchback at TRE will unite outdoor specialty retailers and brands this November 29 to December 1 in Austin, TX.
“Switchback at TRE will create a space for the outdoor industry to connect with each other, build valuable partnerships within the run specialty industry, and access timely education,” said Christina Henderson, Event Director, The Running Event. “A new partnership with The Conservation Alliance, dedicated networking, and a growing list of exhibiting outdoor brands reinforces our goal of creating a forward-looking, productive space for the outdoor community to gather and grow.”
In addition to partnering with Switchback at TRE, The Conservation Alliance will host a session the morning of Wednesday, November 30 titled “Community-Led Conservation in El Paso, Texas: A Conversation About the Proposed Castner Range National Monument with The Conservation Alliance and Monumental Shift.” The session will highlight the community-led conservation happening in El Paso and discuss how the campaign created a groundswell of support from a community that is working to protect public lands.
To further support industry connection, Switchback at TRE has also introduced new networking opportunities. Switchback at TRE Basecamp will be an open area in the exhibit hall for attendee networking hours and activities, while a group trail cleanup will give back to Austin’s famous Anne and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail.
In the Switchback at TRE exhibit hall space, outdoor and run specialty retailers will source new products and build business relationships. With nearly 300 companies and organizations exhibiting this year, The Running Event already has a foundation of brands that sell into the outdoor space—and Switchback at TRE will only strengthen that foundation.
“We are excited to be exhibiting at Switchback at TRE, and the timing of the show aligns well with the milestones and interests of accounts and brands alike,” said Michael Kadous, Head of adidas Terrex North America. “Switchback at TRE offers specialty retailers the opportunity to interact with an extensive portfolio of performance-oriented outdoor brands, all under one roof, making it a very compelling trade event for our brand and retail partners.”
