It has been a busy Spring 2024 for Fleet Feet with a number of initiatives aimed at growing the sport of running in its communities across the country.

First off, Fleet Feet, and Saucony teamed up on May 13 to give back to the local Raleigh, NC, community through an event for the Boys and Girls Club of Raleigh that was attended by local students in the area to receive free shoes and a fit experience. The event also had games and complimentary refreshments for attendees.

Saucony and Fleet Feet have partnered on various events throughout the years and this was the second event of its kind – they hosted a similar event in Spokane in 2022. Approximately 200 local boys and girls attended the Raleigh event.

Fleet Feet and Saucony explain that they are both committed to serving local communities by empowering individuals of all ages through the power of movement. Giving kids access to an authentic Fleet Feet experience using the shop’s 3D foot-scanning technology and dynamic pressure mapping ensures each person will be outfitted with the proper size shoe. The brands hope giving kids access to proper, well-fitting footwear at no cost will enable more children to enjoy running and walking and lead to establishing healthy life-long habits.

"It was such a privilege to partner with Saucony to serve the Boys and Girls Club of Raleigh by providing a premium fit experience and footwear giveaway to students who might not otherwise enjoy this type of opportunity,” says Sharon Kyner, marketing director and community outreach, Fleet Feet Raleigh/Morrisville. “I can’t think of a better way to embody the Fleet Feet ethos that ‘Running Changes Everything’ than to spend the afternoon giving back to our local community through the power of running.”

"Partnering with Fleet Feet to give back to the local community in Raleigh was an incredibly rewarding experience,” adds Meagan Nedlo, Saucony sales manager. “The Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA play such an important role in the lives of children and young adults through their after-school programs and I'm grateful that Saucony had the opportunity to help get these kids excited about staying active and engaged."

FF Milestones Unveiled

In a different marketing initiative, Fleet Feet recently unveiled what it is calling Fleet Feet Milestones, a revamped rewards program for new and returning customers that will launch in July. The new program offers an improved loyalty experience that introduces two membership tiers – Pacesetters and Frontrunners.

Customers who spend up to $399 will become Pacesetters and earn one point per dollar spent. Once they reach 250 points, they will earn a $15 reward, plus a $10 birthday offer. Customers who spend $400 or more will enjoy Frontrunner status for the remainder of the calendar year and the next calendar year. They will earn points even faster; once they reach 200 points, they will earn a $15 reward, plus a $15 birthday offer, and exclusive, early access opportunities.

“At Fleet Feet, we have a unique opportunity to support our customers through every step of their running journey,” explains Joey Pointer, president and CEO of Fleet Feet. “Enhancing our loyalty program with Fleet Feet Milestones allows our customers to unlock accelerated earning with our new tiered structure, and access additional offers and benefits each and every time they shop with us.”

Current reward members will be automatically enrolled in the Fleet Feet Milestones program; points will carry over to the new system and all existing rewards members will receive 100 bonus points when the new program begins.
