Brian Metzler is a Boulder, Colorado-based journalist and content producer who has served leading editorial roles at Trail Runner, Runner's World/Running Times, Competitor and MotivRunning.com. He's been a contributor to numerous media outlets, including Men's Journal, Outside, Triathlete, Red Bulletin, Podium Runner, The Chicago Tribune, The Denver Post and Colorado Sun. He is the author of four books, including "Kicksology: The Hype, Science, Culture and Cool of Running Shoes" (2019, VeloPress). In his spare time, he has finished four Ironman triathlons, two 100-mile runs, 15 marathons and dozens of pack burro races.
